Parmenion strengthens senior distribution team
Following another year of strong growth, Parmenion, the technology and investment solutions provider, announce the appointment of Laura Barnes as Head of Intermediary Distribution, in a ‘pivotal’ move.
Ms Barnes will be responsible for creating a vision and its delivery through Parmenion’s intermediary relationships.
To support Laura, Paul Bowen and Ryan Bagnall have been promoted to Regional Heads of Distribution, covering the North, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and Wales and the South respectively. Both have worked for Parmenion for many years and have strong backgrounds in building relationships with intermediaries.
Mark Steers, Chief Distribution Officer at Parmenion, commented: “Hiring Laura has been a real coup. Her CV speaks for itself and her experience will be absolutely invaluable as we continue on our growth journey.
“Distribution teams have all seen a boost to recruitment, which has not been stemmed despite the COVID-19 crisis”
“She’ll be leading an enthusiastic and successful team who will benefit greatly from her guidance and tenacity. In turn, she’ll be supported by peers such as Ryan and Paul, who are professionals, committed to supporting advisers. Both are fountains of knowledge about the Parmenion proposition. It’s a dream team really, one which will shape a sharply focused approach to growth and support for existing relationships.”
Under the leadership of Mark Steers, who joined in 2019, the distribution team has been refreshed to meet ambitious commercial objectives. The industry leading client services and distribution teams have all seen a boost to recruitment, which has not been stemmed despite the COVID-19 crisis.
On joining the firm, Barnes remarked: “Parmenion is always one-to-watch, topping the leagues and winning awards. So, when the opportunity came to take up a position I was immediately interested.
“No longer a new player in the market, Parmenion marries a strong pedigree while keeping its agile, start-up ethos which has maintained its service levels through this severe crisis. I’m keen to make this move at an exciting time for a business with great people and huge potential.”
