PIM Ratings for 2022
PIM has achieved the top 5 Diamond rating for twelve different portfolio solutions. This means Parmenion has secured more ratings than any other DFM manager and remarkably over a third of all the 5 Diamond ratings achieved this year (Defaqto, 2022).
What are the Diamond ratings?
Defaqto are well known for their Star ratings of over 12,000 financial services proposition in savings, mortgage, insurance and banking. All investment carries risk and it is important advisers and their clients understand this but Defaqto can help advisers navigate the range of options (1). Recognition of Defaqto among consumers is extremely high and they are frequently referenced in TV and print media campaigns (2).
Where Star ratings reflect the features of propositions, Diamond ratings reflect investment outcomes. Ratings are based not on subjective judgements, for example by award committees, but on a consistent, researched scoring methodology called Data Numerical Analysis (DNA) (3).
The key factors that managed portfolio services (MPS) are assessed on are:
- performance over the past year, adjusted for risk level
- competitiveness considering price, consistency and manager experience
Once all portfolio ranges have their scoring confirmed, the whole market is divided into 5 categories and awarded from 1 to 5 Diamonds, reflecting their quality.
