The Dimensional Focus solution offers exposure to investment management built around the philosophy of Dimensional Fund Advisers (DFA).  DFA offer a range of investment collective funds with investment biases, predominantly towards value and smaller companies, based upon the academic research of Kenneth French and Eugene Fama. The solution therefore focuses wholly or predominantly on the use of DFA funds in its portfolio construction. Within these constraints, Parmenion acts as discretionary manager. Portfolio construction uses a Strategic approach to asset allocation, arranging the underlying securities in to groups and managing each as a discrete model. Risk adjusted portfolios are constructed by varying the weighting to each group and periodically rebalancing.
