Head of Investments: Simon Brett BSc MBA FSI

Simon Brett
Simon is authorised by the FSA as head of investments at Parmenion. Simon has over 25 years experience in the fund management industry as a fund manager with County Nat West and James Capel in the 1980's before moving to Lincoln Investment Management where his duties included the management of their growth funds taking them to top quartile performance by the end of the 1990s. More recently Simon moved to head the £1.5Bn equity mid-cap team at a large life insurer reversing under-performance with new risk and quantitative strategies. Simon has acted as a consultant to a number of institutions including Goldman Sachs. He holds an MBA from University of Bradford, studied Economic Geography at George Washington University and is a Fellow of the Securities Institute.

Andrew Martin Smith

Andrew is a Partner of Parmenion and an authorised investment manager with Guinness Atkinson Limited. Having spent over 15 years as Chief Executive Officer of Hambros Fund Management Limited, Andrew is now Chairman of Parmenion, a director of the M & G High Income Investment Trust and a director of Berkshire Capital Securities Limited. He is a graduate of Oxford University.

Partner: Nicholas Cooling BSc Hons

Nicholas Cooling
Nicholas is Investment Director of Marlborough Fund Management Limited. He joined Marlborough Fund Managers in 1991 and became a Partner in Parmenion in October 2006. Nick is the front line manager of the highly successful Marlborough Balanced Growth fund of funds. His investment style operates along several phases. He initially adopts a top down investment approach from a geographical perspective. Value is added at the secondary and tertiary decision making phases, which are linked to issues such as market capitalisation bias, style bias, and funds that are chosen to achieve desired allocation. Nick brings these proven skills to the investment committee. Born in Liverpool in 1964 and educated at Monmouth School, Nick graduated from Portsmouth University.

Partner & Chairman of the Investment Committee: Jeremy Lodwick MA (Cantab)

Jeremy Lodwick

Jeremy is Chief investment Officer of global equities ex UK with Mirabaud Investment Management Limited and is a Partner in Parmenion. Graduating from Cambridge University, Jeremy joined Morgan Grenfell in 1986 becoming responsible for their European equity portfolios. In 1998 he joined Morgan Stanley Investment Management Limited where his duties included the management of the successful European fund. In 2002 Jeremy became CIO of the London equity team and oversaw the investment of over £15Bn. He moved to become CIO of Framlington in 2004 seeing through their acquisition by AXA and leaving in December 2005. Jeremy became a Partner in Parmenion Capital Partners LLP in October 2006 and also joined Mirabaud in January 2007.

Claire Robbins

Claire is senior investment manger with Parmenion.

She has over 10 years experience in discretionary private client investment management formerly with JL Investment Management and most recently Rowan & Co Capital Management PLC. Claire is a graduate of Sheffield University.
